The eco/performance training was built at the intersection of visions and practices such as: performance, art therapy, design, ethnology, dance, and branding. The program proposed, on the one hand, the assimilation and experimentation of the artistic language developed in YAGORIA, which situates the body as a process in the “symbiotic real” (the inseparable connection and co-participation in the ecosphere being the essential component of eco-performance); On the other hand, it supports, through sets of useful tools, the development of young Romanian creators at the beginning of their journey.

🔴 1 module on mask customs in the Balkan region (theoretical module)
Coordinator: Georgiana Vlahbei
Present in archaic and traditional societies and still today, the mask is a complex system of meanings and significances – magical-religious, symbolic, mythical. In the context of customs marking the renewal of time (winter-spring), the mask/mask-costume acts as a mediator and embodies the liminal state (“between worlds”) of the actors. Starting from its multiple valences and the duality it embodies, we propose a visual exploration, using the tools of cultural anthropology, of some of the customs involving masks in Romania and the Balkans.

We will work with elements of nature, exploring the natural setting of the Văcărești Delta through sound, body, and emotion as a space in which to exist in balance and harmony. For 2 hours, we will reflect on ourselves as part of a whole system that includes us. We are not separate from nature. We are not separate from our bodies.

🟠 1 module on performativity in ritual context (theoretical and practical module)
Coordinator: Aigul Keosep
“Community, Nature, and Ritual – when we lose our connection with them, we begin to lose our sense of being.” These three concepts are at the heart of the study that Aigul, a psychotherapist who combines the skills of a choreographer and dancer, will share and continue to explore in an interactive workshop. Starting from practices in Asia, India, and South America, the functions and benefits of dance in a ritualistic, experiential context will be highlighted.

🟢 1 eco-design module (practical module)

Starting from a discussion on the correct recycling process, PET plastic will be processed to achieve different shapes and structures. The workshop will cover the sketch-template-product process.
Why can good design today only be sustainable? How do we include the circular component in the creative process? We will explore these questions in depth during the 2-hour workshop.

Introduction to the concepts of shaping an artistic profile and communication concepts, techniques, recommendations for what it means to have an online presence as a young artist/actor/creator at the beginning of their career – who is trying to make their creation visible. We will focus on the importance of storytelling and the integration of personal values.
