The most important product of the Plastic. Affective Memory and Waste project will premiere this month at the first photography festival in Constanța: Constanța FOTOFest 2020.

’94 – future: life in Plastic is a participatory performance that takes a subjective look at the world of plastic, as experienced by the performer, Alina Tofan.
The show takes us on a journey into the world of plastic, from Romania in the 1990s, through the present, and into a future imagined as a dystopian world.

In addition to the premiere of the performance, Plastic. Affective Memory and Waste welcomes the public with a photo exhibition and an audio-video installation that explores both the role and impact of plastic in our affective memory.

Between October 22 and 25, 2020, the Constanța County Council and the Constanța Teodor Burada County Cultural Center are organizing Constanța’s first photography festival, entitled Constanța FotoFest2020, in five different cultural venues. The festival aims to redefine the photographic spirit of Constanța and Dobrogea as an agora where various photographic themes will be brought into dialogue, united under the concept of “HUMANITY.”
