As part of 2020 Amural festival, at Visssual creative hub in Brașov, we launched our first project: Plastic: Affective Memory and Waste: with a VR concept and discussions with the team.
UNDEGRADABLE MEMORIES tells, through a virtual reality installation, the story of plastic remaining in our most personal memories, carried from the beginning of life, from childhood to adulthood, and which continues to generate emotions that are always in opposition. In a world where we are becoming increasingly aware of the problem of plastic pollution, memories of plastic toys, pacifiers, and life preservers overlap with the fear of being wrong and feelings of guilt.

:MANIFESTO:
It’s hard to avoid blame when you say “plastic.”
We see plastic as the (all-)guilty party, the moral author of the collapse of ecosystems and the economy.
We see the wastefulness of others as the cause of the loss of the four seasons.
However, we produce-consume-overproduce-overconsume.
We pollute, we do not integrate, and recycling is not always effective.
We use, we enjoy, and then we forget.
We have disposable pleasures.
We carry it everywhere with us, within us. It is indispensable, indestructible.
Pacifiers, toys, litter boxes, ashtrays, water bottles…
Is it necessary for plastic to become all of these things?
Nature is not the opposite of plastic.
Plastic is not inferior to Nature.
Can the two coexist without harming each other?
We do not label, but investigate and question.
We embark on a subjective journey into the world of plastic,
investigating affective memory and waste.
